Targoum sur Isaïe 64:4
פָּגַ֤עְתָּ אֶת־שָׂשׂ֙ וְעֹ֣שֵׂה צֶ֔דֶק בִּדְרָכֶ֖יךָ יִזְכְּר֑וּךָ הֵן־אַתָּ֤ה קָצַ֙פְתָּ֙ וַֽנֶּחֱטָ֔א בָּהֶ֥ם עוֹלָ֖ם וְנִוָּשֵֽׁעַ׃
Tu es allé au devant de ceux qui se font une joie de pratiquer la justice, attachés à ton souvenir en suivant tes voies. Et puis, lorsque tu t’es irrité à cause de nos fautes, c’est grâce à eux que notre salut fut toujours assuré.
Targum Jonathan on Isaiah
The works of our righteous fathers were acceptable in Thy sight, who rejoiced to do Thy will in truth and in righteousness: in the way of Thy goodness and mercy they remembered Thy fear whenever Thy wrath from Thy presence was upon us, because we had sinned: on account of the works of our righteous fathers, we have been saved.
