לְעֵ֥ת עֶ֙רֶב֙ וְהִנֵּ֣ה בַלָּהָ֔ה בְּטֶ֥רֶם בֹּ֖קֶר אֵינֶ֑נּוּ זֶ֚ה חֵ֣לֶק שׁוֹסֵ֔ינוּ וְגוֹרָ֖ל לְבֹזְזֵֽינוּ׃ (ס)
À l’heure du soir, c’est une consternation; avant le matin, l’ennemi n’est plus. Tel est le sort de ceux qui nous ont dévastés, la destinée de ceux qui nous ont dépouillés.
Targum Jonathan on Isaiah
And at eveningtide behold, as if he had not been; and before the morning behold, as if he had not been. This is the portion of those that hate us, and the lot of those who spoil us.
