הָעֲנִיִּ֨ים וְהָאֶבְיוֹנִ֜ים מְבַקְשִׁ֥ים מַ֙יִם֙ וָאַ֔יִן לְשׁוֹנָ֖ם בַּצָּמָ֣א נָשָׁ֑תָּה אֲנִ֤י יְהוָה֙ אֶעֱנֵ֔ם אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֹ֥א אֶעֶזְבֵֽם׃
Les affligés et les malheureux réclament de l’eau et n’en trouvent pas; leur langue est desséchée par la soif. Eh bien! Moi, l’Éternel, je les exaucerai; Dieu d’Israël, je ne les abandonnerai pas.
Targum Jonathan on Isaiah
The poor and the needy long after instruction, as the thirsty after water, but do not find it; their spirit faints in affliction. I, the Lord, will hear their prayer; I, the God of Israel, will not cast them off.
