וָאַגִּ֤יד לְךָ֙ מֵאָ֔ז בְּטֶ֥רֶם תָּב֖וֹא הִשְׁמַעְתִּ֑יךָ פֶּן־תֹּאמַר֙ עָצְבִּ֣י עָשָׂ֔ם וּפִסְלִ֥י וְנִסְכִּ֖י צִוָּֽם׃
D’avance donc je t’ai informé, instruit des événements non encore arrivés, pour que tu ne dises pas: "Mon idole les a accomplis, mes statues de pierre et de métal les ont ordonnés."

Therefore I have declared these things to thee from the beginning; before they came to pass I announced them unto thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my molten image hath prepared them.
