לְקִצְבֵ֤י הָרִים֙ יָרַ֔דְתִּי הָאָ֛רֶץ בְּרִחֶ֥יהָ בַעֲדִ֖י לְעוֹלָ֑ם וַתַּ֧עַל מִשַּׁ֛חַת חַיַּ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽי׃
Précipité jusqu’à la racine des montagnes, la terre me fermait ses barrières pour toujours... Tu as sauvé ma vie de la perdition, Éternel, mon Dieu.
Targum Jonathan on Jonah
To the roots of mountains You brought me down; earth drawing against me in strength to over all existence, and You — near before You to come up from the damage alive, LORD my God.
