Targoum sur Les Lamentations 1:6
וַיֵּצֵ֥א מן־בת־[מִבַּת־] צִיּ֖וֹן כָּל־הֲדָרָ֑הּ הָי֣וּ שָׂרֶ֗יהָ כְּאַיָּלִים֙ לֹא־מָצְא֣וּ מִרְעֶ֔ה וַיֵּלְכ֥וּ בְלֹא־כֹ֖חַ לִפְנֵ֥י רוֹדֵֽף׃ (ס)
La fille de Sion a vu partir toute sa splendeur; ses princes, tels des cerfs qui ne trouvent pas de pâturage, s’avancent à bout de forces devant qui les pourchasse.
Aramaic Targum to Lamentations
All the glory of the Congregation of Zion has gone out from her. Her nobles were wandering for food, like stags who wander in the desert and find no suitable place for their pasture. They went out in great weakness and they had no strength to flee to safety (from) before the pursuer.
