הֲתֵֽיטְבִי֙ מִנֹּ֣א אָמ֔וֹן הַיֹּֽשְׁבָה֙ בַּיְאֹרִ֔ים מַ֖יִם סָבִ֣יב לָ֑הּ אֲשֶׁר־חֵ֣יל יָ֔ם מִיָּ֖ם חוֹמָתָֽהּ׃
Vaux-tu mieux que No-Ammon, qui trônait parmi les bras du Nil, entourée d’une ceinture d’eau et ayant une mer comme rempart, une mer pour mur de défense?

Art thou then better than great Alexandria, which dwelt amid the rivers, waters all around her, whose wall was the sea, of the sea were her walls?
