וַיִּפְּל֤וּ עַל־פְּנֵיהֶם֙ וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ אֵ֕ל אֱלֹהֵ֥י הָרוּחֹ֖ת לְכָל־בָּשָׂ֑ר הָאִ֤ישׁ אֶחָד֙ יֶחֱטָ֔א וְעַ֥ל כָּל־הָעֵדָ֖ה תִּקְצֹֽף׃ (פ)
Mais ils tombèrent sur leur face et dirent: "Seigneur! Dieu des esprits de toute chair! Quoi, un seul homme aura péché, et tu t’irriterais contre la communauté tout entière!"
Targum Jonathan on Numbers
But they bowed down upon their faces in prayer, and said: El Eloha, who hast put the spirit of life in the bodies of the children of men, and from whom is given the spirit of all flesh, - if one man hath sinned, wilt Thou be angry with all the congregation
