פירוש על ישעיהו 2:12

ושפל He shall be brought low. The ו changes the past into a future; ²⁰וְשָׁפֵל could be taken as co-ordinate with נִשָּׂא, that which is high and that which is low; Ibn Ezra rejects this explanation, and takes ושפל as the past turned into future by the ו conversive. comp. וטהר he shall be clean (Lev. 22:7)
