Behold all of you who do not hearken to the voice of His prophets.

זיקות Sparks. The meaning of the word must be found from the context.⁹First, it corresponds to אש fire in the parallel phrase; secondly, it is connected with the verb בערתם ye have kindled. מאזרי Who compass yourselves.¹⁰The verb אזר to compass about, governs two accusatives, the one, זיקות sparks, is the thing which is put round, the other, נפשבם yourselves, which is understood, is the thing round which it is put By the omission of נפשכם the verb becomes similar to a reflective verb.
