Tafsiran Amos 9:11: Tze'enah Ure'enah & Rashi

Tze'enah Ure'enah

“On that day” [9:11]. When the redemption will come, I will repair the sukkah. That is to say, the kingdom of the house of David. It is as if it was a sukkah that protected Israel, but not the kingdom of Ephraim. I will destroy them, but the kingdom of David I will repair its breaches forever.4Radak, Amos, 9:11.

On that day—And, after all these will befall him, that day will come, the day destined for the redemption, and thereon... I will raise up the fallen Tabernacle of David—Jonathan renders: the kingdom of the house of David.
