וַיַּרְאֵם֙ אֶת־מְב֣וֹא הָעִ֔יר וַיַּכּ֥וּ אֶת־הָעִ֖יר לְפִי־חָ֑רֶב וְאֶת־הָאִ֥ישׁ וְאֶת־כָּל־מִשְׁפַּחְתּ֖וֹ שִׁלֵּֽחוּ׃
Orang itu menunjukkan jalan masuk ke kota itu kepada mereka. Mereka pun memukul kota itu dengan mata pedang, tetapi orang itu beserta seluruh kaum keluarganya mereka biarkan pergi.
