וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֲלֵהֶם֙ רִדְפ֣וּ אַחֲרַ֔י כִּֽי־נָתַ֨ן יְהוָ֧ה אֶת־אֹיְבֵיכֶ֛ם אֶת־מוֹאָ֖ב בְּיֶדְכֶ֑ם וַיֵּרְד֣וּ אַחֲרָ֗יו וַֽיִּלְכְּד֞וּ אֶת־מַעְבְּר֤וֹת הַיַּרְדֵּן֙ לְמוֹאָ֔ב וְלֹֽא־נָתְנ֥וּ אִ֖ישׁ לַעֲבֹֽר׃
Ia berkata kepada mereka, “Kejarlah mengikuti aku, sebab Yang Mahakekal telah menyerahkan musuh-musuhmu, yaitu orang Moab, ke dalam tanganmu.” Maka mereka turun mengikuti dia dan merebut tempat-tempat penyeberangan sungai Yordan yang menuju ke Moab, dan mereka tidak membiarkan seorang pun menyeberang.
