וְעַתָּ֗ה כִּבְשַׂ֤ר אַחֵ֙ינוּ֙ בְּשָׂרֵ֔נוּ כִּבְנֵיהֶ֖ם בָּנֵ֑ינוּ וְהִנֵּ֣ה אֲנַ֣חְנוּ כֹ֠בְשִׁים אֶת־בָּנֵ֨ינוּ וְאֶת־בְּנֹתֵ֜ינוּ לַעֲבָדִ֗ים וְיֵ֨שׁ מִבְּנֹתֵ֤ינוּ נִכְבָּשׁוֹת֙ וְאֵ֣ין לְאֵ֣ל יָדֵ֔נוּ וּשְׂדֹתֵ֥ינוּ וּכְרָמֵ֖ינוּ לַאֲחֵרִֽים׃

“Padahal tubuh kami sama seperti tubuh saudara-saudara kami, dan anak-anak kami sama seperti anak-anak mereka. Namun lihatlah, kami terpaksa menyerahkan anak-anak lelaki dan anak-anak perempuan kami menjadi budak. Bahkan sebagian anak perempuan kami sudah diperbudak, dan kami tidak berdaya. Ladang-ladang dan kebun-kebun anggur kami pun sudah menjadi milik orang lain.”
