אֱמֹ֗ר כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֛ר אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהֹוִ֖ה תִּצְלָ֑ח הֲלוֹא֩ אֶת־שָׁרָשֶׁ֨יהָ יְנַתֵּ֜ק וְאֶת־פִּרְיָ֣הּ ׀ יְקוֹסֵ֣ס וְיָבֵ֗שׁ כָּל־טַרְפֵּ֤י צִמְחָהּ֙ תִּיבָ֔שׁ וְלֹֽא־בִזְרֹ֤עַ גְּדוֹלָה֙ וּבְעַם־רָ֔ב לְמַשְׂא֥וֹת אוֹתָ֖הּ מִשָּׁרָשֶֽׁיהָ׃
Katakanlah: Beginilah firman Tuhan Yang Mahakekal: Akankah ia berhasil? Bukankah akar-akarnya akan dicabut dan buahnya dipangkas sehingga ia menjadi kering? Semua daun tunasnya akan layu dan kering. Tidak akan ada kekuatan besar atau orang banyak yang datang menolongnya ketika ia dicabut sampai ke akar-akarnya.
