Di dalammu ayah dan ibu dipandang rendah; di tengah-tengahmu orang asing diperlakukan dengan pemerasan; di dalammu anak yatim dan janda ditindas.
Tze'enah Ure'enah
“Fathers and mothers have been humiliated” [22:7]. They did not honor father and mother and these are the greatest sins. Even if the Torah did not command respect for father and mother, it would have been correct to respect father and mother. The stranger, the orphan and the widow, they have defrauded.
