הִ֠נֵּה כְּאַרְיֵ֞ה יַעֲלֶ֨ה מִגְּא֣וֹן הַיַּרְדֵּן֮ אֶל־נְוֵ֣ה אֵיתָן֒ כִּֽי־אַרְגִּ֤יעָה אֲרִיצֶ֨נּוּ מֵֽעָלֶ֔יהָ וּמִ֥י בָח֖וּר אֵלֶ֣יהָ אֶפְקֹ֑ד כִּ֣י מִ֤י כָמ֙וֹנִי֙ וּמִ֣י יֹעִידֶ֔נִּי וּמִי־זֶ֣ה רֹעֶ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר יַעֲמֹ֖ד לְפָנָֽי׃ (ס)
Sesungguhnya, ia akan naik seperti singa dari belukar lebat di tepi Sungai Yordan, menyerang tempat kediaman yang kokoh. Sebab dalam sekejap Aku akan membuat dia menyerbu dan menguasainya, dan siapa yang Kupilih, dialah yang akan Kutugaskan menghadapinya. Sebab siapakah yang seperti Aku? Siapakah yang dapat menetapkan waktu bagi-Ku untuk bertanding melawan Aku? Dan gembala manakah yang dapat bertahan di hadapan-Ku?
