Pemikiran Yahudi Ulangan 26:16: Akeidat Yitzchak

Akeidat Yitzchak

The fact that no mention is made of the Torah being received in connection with the Shavuot festival, indicates that a commandment which is ongoing, applies on all three hundred sixty five days a year, at all hours during day and night, unlike other commandments, cannot appear to be tied to one particular date only, such as is the case with Passover or Tabernacles, for instance. Since all of mankind accepts the concept of Divine justice, i.e. retribution, in what way are the Jewish people unique? How does embracing that concept constitute a specific Jewish article of faith?
