The Third Beit HaMikdash
The prophecy further states:25Yechezkel 37:26. “I will establish a covenant of peace with them; it will be an eternal covenant with them.” This is yet to be fulfilled. On the contrary, due to our sins, our people do not enjoy peace. That verse continues, “I will multiply you.” This prophecy also has not yet been fulfilled, as we are the smallest among the nations.26Cf. Devarim 7:7. Yechezkel’s prophecy continues with the promises:27Yechezkel 37:26-27. “I will place My Sanctuary in their midst forever. My presence will rest upon them; I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” Similarly, this promise has yet to be fulfilled. On the contrary, in our era we ask, “Why is it said among the nations, ‘Where is their God?”28Tehillim 115:2. Certainly, we are His nation and He is our God, but the point of the prophecy is that the relationship will be obvious, that Divine favor will be manifest upon us to the extent that the nations of the world will recognize that the God of Israel is the true God, and that Israel is His nation, as the prophecy concludes,29Yechezkel 37:28. “The nations shall know that I, God, sanctify Israel, since My sanctuary will be in their midst forever.” The implication is that the nations of the world will realize and acknowledge that, “I will be their God.” The nations’ realization will stem from the awareness that, “My sanctuary will be in their midst forever.”

Yechezkel relates similar prophecies in ch. 37.46See Yechezkel 37:26-28. I will discuss this matter further in the conclusion of this text.
