Pemikiran Yahudi Yehezkiel 40:19: The Third Beit HaMikdash

The Third Beit HaMikdash

“And He brought me to the Inner Courtyard via the east.”1Yechezkel 40:32. “And he measured from the lower gate…” to the upper [gate]; “it was 100 cubits.”2Ibid.:19. Thus, the width of the Outer Courtyard from its eastern side to the eastern wall of the Inner Courtyard was 100 cubits. Rav Yitzchak Abarbanel writes that the phrase, “Before the Inner Courtyard from the outside,” implies that the measurement was made from the outside and did not include the gate to the Inner Courtyard. The same applies to the southern side, even though Scripture mentions only the east and the north.
