Kabbalah Mazmur 81:10: Sha'arei Kedusha

Sha'arei Kedusha

Anger is a branch of pride and is equal to it. Our sages, of blessed memory, stated,383Talmud Bavli, Nedarim 22a “Whoever is angry, all kinds of punishments of purgatory (Gehinnom) rule over him.” Similarly, our sages, of blessed memory, stated,384Talmud Bavli, Shabbat 105b “A person who rends his garments in anger, or breaks his vessels in anger, or scatters his money in his anger, should be regarded like an idolator in your eyes, as it states,385Psalms 81:10 ‘You shall not have an alien god within you.’”
