Kabbalah Mikha 7:18: Sha'arei Orah, Sha'arei Kedusha, The Beginning & Sha'ar HaKavanot

Sha'arei Orah

Gate Ten: (The Sefirah of Keter)
“Who is a God-E”l-א״ל like You, Who pardons iniquity and overlooks transgression for the remnant of His heritage? He does not maintain His wrath forever, for He desires kindness.”-Micah 7:18

Sha'arei Kedusha

Our sages, of blessed memory, stated,380Talmud Bavli, Taanit 7a “Why are the words of Torah compared to water? To teach us that just as water comes from a high place and only descends to a lower place, so too, Torah only dwells upon one who is lowly of spirit.” Happy is the man who does not become agitated and whose spirit is very lowly and humble, as the verse states,381Psalms 51:19 “The sacrifices that God desires are a broken spirit.” Happy is the man who is long-patient and bears everything for the will of his Creator, and who makes himself like a remnant, as the verse states,382Micah 7:18 “Who is a God like You, pardoning iniquity and overlooking transgression for the remnant of His heritage,” meaning, for whoever sees himself as a remnant. Happy is the man who makes himself like the dust that is trampled by everyone, who is like the lower stoop that is stepped on by all, and like the lowest peg upon which all depend.

Pedantry is a branch of arrogance and anger. Our sages, of blessed memory, stated,395Talmud Bavli, Pesachim 110b “Whoever is intolerant, they are intolerant with him.” Such a person is not forgiven for his sins, as they taught,396Talmud Bavli, Rosh HaShanah 17a (also see Rashi) “It is written,397Micah 7:18 ‘He pardons iniquity and overlooks transgression.’ For whom does He pardon iniquity and overlook transgression? For a person who overlooks his reckonings with others, for the slights and injustices that they perpetrated against him.”
