וַתֹּ֤אמֶר רוּת֙ אַל־תִּפְגְּעִי־בִ֔י לְעָזְבֵ֖ךְ לָשׁ֣וּב מֵאַחֲרָ֑יִךְ כִּ֠י אֶל־אֲשֶׁ֨ר תֵּלְכִ֜י אֵלֵ֗ךְ וּבַאֲשֶׁ֤ר תָּלִ֙ינִי֙ אָלִ֔ין עַמֵּ֣ךְ עַמִּ֔י וֵאלֹהַ֖יִךְ אֱלֹהָֽי׃
Tetapi Rut berkata: “Jangan desak aku untuk meninggalkan engkau dan pulang tanpa mengikutimu. Sebab ke mana engkau pergi, ke situ aku pergi, dan di mana engkau bermalam, di situ aku bermalam. Bangsamu adalah bangsaku, dan Allahmu adalah Allahku.
