וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַ אֶל־כָּל־הָעָ֗ם כֹּֽה־אָמַ֣ר יְהוָה֮ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ בְּעֵ֣בֶר הַנָּהָ֗ר יָשְׁב֤וּ אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙ מֵֽעוֹלָ֔ם תֶּ֛רַח אֲבִ֥י אַבְרָהָ֖ם וַאֲבִ֣י נָח֑וֹר וַיַּעַבְד֖וּ אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֲחֵרִֽים׃
Yosua berkata kepada seluruh bangsa itu: “Beginilah firman Yang Mahakekal, Allah Israel: Sejak dahulu kala nenek moyangmu tinggal di seberang Sungai, yaitu Terah, ayah Abraham dan ayah Nahor, dan mereka menyembah allah lain.

Thus, always remember this principle throughout the whole of Torah, so that you will be able to discern the meaning of the title God-Elohi”m-אלהי״ם in all places, or the term “other gods-elohim acheirim-אלהים אחרים,” such as in the verse,121Joshua 24:2 “Your forefathers… dwelt beyond the [Euphrates] River and served other gods-elohim acheirim-אלהים אחרים,” or,122Exodus 20:3 “You shall have no other gods-elohim acheirim-אלהים אחרים.”
