Orang yang berbuat tipu daya tidak akan tinggal di dalam rumahku; orang yang mengucapkan dusta tidak akan bertahan di depan mataku.

Now, as known, the Torah warns us to stay away from falsehood, as the verse states,5Exodus 23:7 “Distance yourself from falsehood.” That is, we are warned even if something is not completely false, but only has a small admixture of untruth in it.6See Talmud Bavli, Shevuot 31a This applies when a person speaks to his equal, and certainly applies when he speaks to a prince of Israel. How very much more is this so, when he speaks to HaShem, blessed is He. It certainly is imperative that one must be cautious not to speak falsely before Him, as the verse states,7Psalms 101:7 “One who speaks lies will not be established before My eyes.”

Explanation of the words of iniquity of four groups:
Our Rabbis, may their memory be blessed, said (Sotah 42a), “Four groups will not greet the Divine Presence: The group of scoffers, the group of liars, the group of flatterers, and the group of slanderers. The group of cynics, as it is written (Hosea 7:5), ‘He draws His hand from cynics’; the group of liars, as it is written (Psalms 101:7), ‘he who speaks falsehood shall not dwell before My eyes’; the group of flatterers, as it is written (Job 13:16), ‘that a flatterer cannot come before Him’; the group of slanderers, as it is written (Psalms 5:5), ‘For You are not a God who has pleasure in wickedness, evil shall not sojourn with You.’”

We have now learned that the three parts of the Tabernacle correspond to the three parts of the universe concerning which King David said in Psalms 103,20: "Bless the Lord, O, His angels, mighty creatures who do His bidding, ever obedient to His bidding. Bless the Lord all His hosts, His servants who do His will; bless the Lord all His works, through the length and breadth of His realm." David's son Solomon also adopted his father's outlook when he alluded to this in three consecutive verses in Song of Songs 5,13-15. Three different parts of the human body form the subject of those verses, each one representing a different aspect of the universe and how man's composition reflects this division of the universe into three constituent parts. I (Rabbenu Bachyah) have explained this in detail when I discussed Jacob's dream of the ladder." Thus far the quotation from Rabbenu Bachyah.
