הַיּ֥וֹם הַה֗וּא יְֽהִ֫י חֹ֥שֶׁךְ אַֽל־יִדְרְשֵׁ֣הוּ אֱל֣וֹהַּ מִמָּ֑עַל וְאַל־תּוֹפַ֖ע עָלָ֣יו נְהָרָֽה׃
Biarlah hari itu menjadi kegelapan; janganlah Allah di atas mencarinya, dan janganlah cahaya terbit menyinarinya.
Ibn Ezra
And [the word] n'hora (נְהוֹרָא - light) is like [the Hebrew word in Job 3:4]: “and let no light (n'harah - נְהָרָה) shine upon it”. And similarly [related conceptually or etymologically is the word] ha-minharot (הַמִּנְהָרוֹת - the tunnels/burrows) [Judges 6:2].
