אֶת־חֻקֶּ֥יךָ אֶשְׁמֹ֑ר אַֽל־תַּעַזְבֵ֥נִי עַד־מְאֹֽד׃

He went down and sojourned there few in number and there he became a great nation: (Deuteronomy 26:5) This verse appears to be transposed. It should have said, “He went down to Egypt few in number and sojourned there and became a great nation.” It is part of the style of the Bible to transpose expressions in this matter. We have already seen this same phenomena in the Haggadah.
