Kepada Mesir kami mengulurkan tangan, dan kepada Asyur, supaya kami dapat makan roti sampai kenyang.

she gave her hand like a person who has no strength and stretches forth his hand to whomever he sees, to beg mercy and aid. Cf. We gave our hand to Egypt” (Lam. 5:6).

ונתנו, with a dagesh in the second letter נ to double it. The meaning is the same as the regular future ניתן “we will give.” A similar construction of this verb is found in Lamentations 5,6 מצרים נתנו יד, meaning the same as נתננו, “we hold out a hand to Egypt.”
