Tafsiran yang Mengutip untuk Yesaya 41:14

Janganlah takut, hai cacing Yakub, hai orang-orang Israel; Aku menolong engkau, demikianlah firman Yang Mahakekal, dan Penebusmu ialah Yang Mahakudus Israel.

Rabbeinu Bahya

אנכי הא-ל אלו-הי אביך ,”I am the Lord G’d of your father.” G’d meant: “I am the same G’d who prevented your father from leaving the Holy Land by telling him “do not go down to Egypt (Genesis 26,2). If I tell you now to proceed to Egypt, I do not want you to be afraid of this trip.” We have a similar assurance phrased by a warning not to be afraid in Isaiah 41,14 “do not be afraid, O worm Jacob.” A third example of G’d offering reassurance by phrasing it in a similar manner is found in Isaiah 41,10 “fear not for I am with you, be not frightened for I am your G’d.”

Kli Yakar

And cedar wood, crimson yarn, and hyssop. He should have placed cedar wood next to the hyssop since both are from the plant kingdom. Why did He insert the crimson [derived from a worm] yarn between them? And in Parashat Chukat (19:6), it is written cedar wood, hyssop, and crimson yarn. Why did it change here? It appears that this passage deals with the remedy for evil speech [lashon hara], for even if the one who speaks it is as lowly as this worm, nevertheless one strikes at a great person who is compared to a cedar, as concluded in Yalkut (Isaiah 450) on the verse Fear not, O worm Jacob (Isaiah 41:14). Therefore, one’s atonement requires cedar wood, crimson yarn, and hyssop, to atone for what one did — the act of the worm against the cedar. And one’s remedy is that one should humble oneself like the hyssop, and then one will not desire to cast blemish upon the holy ones.

Or HaChaim

The words ועץ ארז ושני חולעת ואזב, "and the cedar-wood and the scarlet and the hyssop," are allusions to the merits of the three patriarchs. Abraham is represented by the word עץ ארז; He was a man of gigantic spiritual stature. Jacob is represented by the words ושני תולעת, seeing he is called by that "nickname" in Isaiah 41,14 i.e. אל תירא תולעז יעקב, "do not be afraid O worm Jacob;" Isaac is represented by the word אזוב, seeing Isaac symbolises the attribute of גבורה, strength, heroism. The Messiah will have to combine all those attributes within himself.
