וַיֹּ֤אמֶר ׀ לָֽאָדָ֗ם הֵ֤ן יִרְאַ֣ת אֲ֭דֹנָי הִ֣יא חָכְמָ֑ה וְס֖וּר מֵרָ֣ע בִּינָֽה׃ (ס)
Lalu Ia berfirman kepada manusia, “Sesungguhnya, takut akan Tuhan, itulah hikmat, dan menjauhi kejahatan adalah pengertian.”

The beginning of wisdom is fear of the L rd. [It shall be accounted] goodly wisdom to all who do so [i.e., who imbue themselves with such fear; for then] His praise will endure forever.
