וְאָסַ֣ף ׀ אִ֣ישׁ טָה֗וֹר אֵ֚ת אֵ֣פֶר הַפָּרָ֔ה וְהִנִּ֛יחַ מִח֥וּץ לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֖ה בְּמָק֣וֹם טָה֑וֹר וְ֠הָיְתָה לַעֲדַ֨ת בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֧ל לְמִשְׁמֶ֛רֶת לְמֵ֥י נִדָּ֖ה חַטָּ֥את הִֽוא׃
Seorang yang tahir harus mengumpulkan abu sapi itu dan menaruhnya di luar perkemahan, di suatu tempat yang tahir. Abu itu harus disimpan bagi umat Israel untuk membuat air pemercikan; itulah bahan penyucian.

3:20: R. Judah cites the scripture—"And [the water] shall be kept for the congregation of the people of Israel for the water for impurity, for the removal of sin" (Numbers 19:9)—to assert that all are believed in matters connected with protecting the water from uncleanness.
