וּבְהַגִּ֡יעַ תֹּר֩ נַעֲרָ֨ה וְנַעֲרָ֜ה לָב֣וֹא ׀ אֶל־הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵר֗וֹשׁ מִקֵּץ֩ הֱי֨וֹת לָ֜הּ כְּדָ֤ת הַנָּשִׁים֙ שְׁנֵ֣ים עָשָׂ֣ר חֹ֔דֶשׁ כִּ֛י כֵּ֥ן יִמְלְא֖וּ יְמֵ֣י מְרוּקֵיהֶ֑ן שִׁשָּׁ֤ה חֳדָשִׁים֙ בְּשֶׁ֣מֶן הַמֹּ֔ר וְשִׁשָּׁ֤ה חֳדָשִׁים֙ בַּבְּשָׂמִ֔ים וּבְתַמְרוּקֵ֖י הַנָּשִֽׁים׃
Setiap kali tiba giliran seorang gadis untuk masuk menghadap Raja Ahasyweros, setelah ia menjalani ketentuan yang berlaku bagi para perempuan selama dua belas bulan, sebab demikianlah genapnya masa perawatan kecantikan mereka, yaitu enam bulan dengan minyak mur dan enam bulan dengan rempah-rempah harum serta bahan-bahan perawatan kecantikan para perempuan,
