וַתַּ֨הַר ע֜וֹד וַתֵּ֣לֶד בֵּ֗ן וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ הַפַּ֙עַם֙ אוֹדֶ֣ה אֶת־יְהוָ֔ה עַל־כֵּ֛ן קָרְאָ֥ה שְׁמ֖וֹ יְהוּדָ֑ה וַֽתַּעֲמֹ֖ד מִלֶּֽדֶת׃
Ia mengandung lagi dan melahirkan seorang anak laki-laki, lalu katanya, “Kali ini aku akan bersyukur kepada Yang Mahakekal.” Oleh sebab itu ia menamainya Yehuda. Sesudah itu ia berhenti melahirkan.

R. Johanan also said in the name of R. Simeon b. Johai: From the day that the Holy One, blessed be He, created the Universe, nobody praised Him until Leah came and praised Him ; as it is said, "This time will I praise the Lord" (Gen. xxix. 35).
