אֵיכָה֩ יָעִ֨יב בְּאַפּ֤וֹ ׀ אֲדֹנָי֙ אֶת־בַּת־צִיּ֔וֹן הִשְׁלִ֤יךְ מִשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ אֶ֔רֶץ תִּפְאֶ֖רֶת יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְלֹא־זָכַ֥ר הֲדֹם־רַגְלָ֖יו בְּי֥וֹם אַפּֽוֹ׃ (ס)
Betapa Tuhan dalam murka-Nya menyelubungi putri Sion dengan awan kelam! Ia telah mencampakkan dari langit ke bumi keagungan Israel, dan tidak mengingat tumpuan kaki-Nya pada hari murka-Nya.
Chagigah
Rebbi took the Book of Lamentations and was reading it. When he came upon this verse, (Lamentations 2:1) "He has cast down from heaven to earth [the splendor of Israel; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger]." [The book] fell from his hands. He said, From the highest roof to the deepest pit!
