וְהַכְּלָבִ֣ים עַזֵּי־נֶ֗פֶשׁ לֹ֤א יָֽדְעוּ֙ שָׂבְעָ֔ה וְהֵ֣מָּה רֹעִ֔ים לֹ֥א יָדְע֖וּ הָבִ֑ין כֻּלָּם֙ לְדַרְכָּ֣ם פָּנ֔וּ אִ֥ישׁ לְבִצְע֖וֹ מִקָּצֵֽהוּ׃
Anjing-anjing itu sangat rakus, tidak pernah tahu kenyang; dan mereka itu gembala-gembala yang tidak tahu memahami; mereka semua berpaling menurut jalannya sendiri, masing-masing mengejar keuntungannya sendiri, dari ujung ke ujung.

Ivi. 11). Who dreams of a lion should on rising say, "The lion hath roared, who will not fear?" (Amos iii. 8), before another verse occurs to him, viz. : "A lion is gone up from his thicket" (Jer. iv. 7) [is gone up] [a lion from his thicket].
