וַיִּשָּׂא־ל֣וֹט אֶת־עֵינָ֗יו וַיַּרְא֙ אֶת־כָּל־כִּכַּ֣ר הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן כִּ֥י כֻלָּ֖הּ מַשְׁקֶ֑ה לִפְנֵ֣י ׀ שַׁחֵ֣ת יְהוָ֗ה אֶת־סְדֹם֙ וְאֶת־עֲמֹרָ֔ה כְּגַן־יְהוָה֙ כְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם בֹּאֲכָ֖ה צֹֽעַר׃
Lot melayangkan pandangannya dan melihat seluruh Lembah Yordan, bahwa seluruhnya berlimpah air — sebelum Yang Mahakekal memusnahkan Sodom dan Gomora — seperti taman Yang Mahakekal, seperti negeri Mesir, sampai ke Zoar.
