וַיִּדֹּ֨ם הַשֶּׁ֜מֶשׁ וְיָרֵ֣חַ עָמָ֗ד עַד־יִקֹּ֥ם גּוֹי֙ אֹֽיְבָ֔יו הֲלֹא־הִ֥יא כְתוּבָ֖ה עַל־סֵ֣פֶר הַיָּשָׁ֑ר וַיַּעֲמֹ֤ד הַשֶּׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ בַּחֲצִ֣י הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וְלֹא־אָ֥ץ לָב֖וֹא כְּי֥וֹם תָּמִֽים׃
Maka matahari berhenti dan bulan pun diam di tempatnya, sampai bangsa itu membalas musuh-musuhnya. Bukankah hal itu tertulis dalam Kitab Orang Jujur? Matahari tetap berdiri di tengah langit dan tidak bergegas terbenam, kira-kira selama sehari penuh.
