ויאמרו [וַיֹּ֥אמֶר] אִֽישׁ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אֶל־הַחִוִּ֑י אוּלַ֗י בְּקִרְבִּי֙ אַתָּ֣ה יוֹשֵׁ֔ב וְאֵ֖יךְ אכרות־[אֶֽכְרָת־] לְךָ֥ בְרִֽית׃
Tetapi orang-orang Israel berkata kepada orang Hewi itu: “Barangkali kamu tinggal di tengah-tengah kami. Bagaimana mungkin kami mengadakan perjanjian dengan kamu?”

Adonoy, your God, will defeat them before you, and you will smite them. You must surely annihilate them. Do not make a treaty with them, and do not favor them.
