וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ אֱלֹהֵ֥י הָעִבְרִ֖ים נִקְרָ֣א עָלֵ֑ינוּ נֵ֣לֲכָה נָּ֡א דֶּרֶךְ֩ שְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת יָמִ֜ים בַּמִּדְבָּ֗ר וְנִזְבְּחָה֙ לַֽיהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ פֶּ֨ן־יִפְגָּעֵ֔נוּ בַּדֶּ֖בֶר א֥וֹ בֶחָֽרֶב׃
Mereka berkata, “Allah orang Ibrani telah menjumpai kami. Izinkanlah kami pergi sejauh perjalanan tiga hari ke padang gurun untuk mempersembahkan kurban kepada Yang Mahakekal, Allah kami, supaya Ia tidak menimpa kami dengan penyakit sampar atau dengan pedang.”
Targum Jonathan
And they said, The Name of the God of the Jehudaee is invoked by (or upon) us. We will go, then, to proceed three days into the desert, and offer the sacrifices of a festival before the Lord God, that death and slaughter befall us not.
