כִּי־יֵ֣שׁ אָדָ֗ם שֶׁעֲמָל֛וֹ בְּחָכְמָ֥ה וּבְדַ֖עַת וּבְכִשְׁר֑וֹן וּלְאָדָ֞ם שֶׁלֹּ֤א עָֽמַל־בּוֹ֙ יִתְּנֶ֣נּוּ חֶלְק֔וֹ גַּם־זֶ֥ה הֶ֖בֶל וְרָעָ֥ה רַבָּֽה׃
Sebab ada orang yang bersusah payah dengan hikmat, pengetahuan, dan kejujuran, tetapi ia harus memberikan hasilnya sebagai bagian kepada orang yang tidak bersusah payah untuk itu. Ini pun kesia-siaan dan kemalangan yang besar.
Aramaic Targum to Ecclesiastes
Because there is a man whose labour is in wisdom, reason, and justice, and he dies without issue; and to a man who did not labour for it, he is to give it, that it may be his portion; also this is vanity, and a great evil.
