יָאִ֣יר בֶּן־מְנַשֶּׁ֗ה לָקַח֙ אֶת־כָּל־חֶ֣בֶל אַרְגֹּ֔ב עַד־גְּב֥וּל הַגְּשׁוּרִ֖י וְהַמַּֽעֲכָתִ֑י וַיִּקְרָא֩ אֹתָ֨ם עַל־שְׁמ֤וֹ אֶת־הַבָּשָׁן֙ חַוֺּ֣ת יָאִ֔יר עַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
Yair bin Manasye merebut seluruh wilayah Argob sampai ke perbatasan orang Gesur dan orang Maakha. Ia menamai daerah-daerah itu, yaitu Basan, menurut namanya sendiri: Hawot-Yair, sampai hari ini.
