אִיתַ֞י גֻּבְרִ֣ין יְהוּדָאיִ֗ן דִּֽי־מַנִּ֤יתָ יָתְהוֹן֙ עַל־עֲבִידַת֙ מְדִינַ֣ת בָּבֶ֔ל שַׁדְרַ֥ךְ מֵישַׁ֖ךְ וַעֲבֵ֣ד נְג֑וֹ גֻּבְרַיָּ֣א אִלֵּ֗ךְ לָא־שָׂ֨מֽוּ עליך [עֲלָ֤ךְ] מַלְכָּא֙ טְעֵ֔ם לאלהיך [לֵֽאלָהָךְ֙] לָ֣א פָלְחִ֔ין וּלְצֶ֧לֶם דַּהֲבָ֛א דִּ֥י הֲקֵ֖ימְתָּ לָ֥א סָגְדִֽין׃ (ס)
Ci sono alcuni ebrei che hai nominato per gli affari della provincia di Babilonia, Shadrach, Meshach e Abed-Nego; questi uomini, o re, non ti hanno considerato: non servono i tuoi dei, né adorano l'immagine d'oro che hai creato.'
