Commento su Ester 4:2
וַיָּב֕וֹא עַ֖ד לִפְנֵ֣י שַֽׁעַר־הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ כִּ֣י אֵ֥ין לָב֛וֹא אֶל־שַׁ֥עַר הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ בִּלְב֥וּשׁ שָֽׂק׃
E andò sin davanti alla porta del re, poiché non è permesso d'entrare nella porta del re in vestimento di sacco.

For one could not enter. It is improper to enter the king’s gate dressed in sackcloth.
