וַיְהִי֙ עַם־הָאָ֔רֶץ מְרַפִּ֖ים יְדֵ֣י עַם־יְהוּדָ֑ה ומבלהים [וּֽמְבַהֲלִ֥ים] אוֹתָ֖ם לִבְנֽוֹת׃

Quindi il popolo del paese indebolì le mani del popolo di Giuda e li tormentò mentre stavano costruendo,

the people of the land They are the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin.

were hindering to disrupt them from their work.

from building Heb. לִבְנוֹת, lit. to build, and so (Gen. 41:49): “until one ceased to count (לִסְפֹּר).”
