אֱדַ֗יִן מִן־דִּ֞י פַּרְשֶׁ֤גֶן נִשְׁתְּוָנָא֙ דִּ֚י ארתחששתא [אַרְתַּחְשַׁ֣שְׂתְּ] מַלְכָּ֔א קֱרִ֧י קֳדָם־רְח֛וּם וְשִׁמְשַׁ֥י סָפְרָ֖א וּכְנָוָתְה֑וֹן אֲזַ֨לוּ בִבְהִיל֤וּ לִירֽוּשְׁלֶם֙ עַל־יְה֣וּדָיֵ֔א וּבַטִּ֥לוּ הִמּ֖וֹ בְּאֶדְרָ֥ע וְחָֽיִל׃ (ס)
Quindi quando la copia del re Artaserse'la lettera fu letta prima di Rehum e dello scriba Shimshai e dei loro compagni, andarono in fretta a Gerusalemme verso gli ebrei e li fecero cessare con la forza e il potere.
