כִּ֤י הֵשַׁח֙ יֹשְׁבֵ֣י מָר֔וֹם קִרְיָ֖ה נִשְׂגָּבָ֑ה יַשְׁפִּילֶ֤נָּה יַשְׁפִּילָהּ֙ עַד־אֶ֔רֶץ יַגִּיעֶ֖נָּה עַד־עָפָֽר׃

Poiché egli ha abbattuto quelli che abitano in alto, la città alta, poggiandola in basso, poggiandola in basso anche a terra, portandola persino nella polvere.

השח He bringeth down. A verb ע״ע like הֵקַל he afflicted slightly (8:23). Them that dwell on high, etc. This refers to the heathens.
