וַיַּעַמְד֡וּ הַמַּיִם֩ הַיֹּרְדִ֨ים מִלְמַ֜עְלָה קָ֣מוּ נֵד־אֶחָ֗ד הַרְחֵ֨ק מְאֹ֜ד באדם [מֵֽאָדָ֤ם] הָעִיר֙ אֲשֶׁר֙ מִצַּ֣ד צָֽרְתָ֔ן וְהַיֹּרְדִ֗ים עַ֣ל יָ֧ם הָעֲרָבָ֛ה יָם־הַמֶּ֖לַח תַּ֣מּוּ נִכְרָ֑תוּ וְהָעָ֥ם עָבְר֖וּ נֶ֥גֶד יְרִיחֽוֹ׃
che le acque che scendevano dall'alto si alzavano e si sollevavano in un ammasso, molto lontano da Adamo, la città che si trova accanto a Zarethan; e quelli che scesero verso il mare dell'Araba, perfino il Mare Salato, furono completamente tagliati; e il popolo passò proprio contro Gerico.
