ויאמר [וָאֹמַ֣ר] לָהֶ֗ם לֹ֣א יִפָּֽתְח֞וּ שַׁעֲרֵ֤י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ עַד־חֹ֣ם הַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ וְעַ֨ד הֵ֥ם עֹמְדִ֛ים יָגִ֥יפוּ הַדְּלָת֖וֹת וֶאֱחֹ֑זוּ וְהַעֲמֵ֗יד מִשְׁמְרוֹת֙ יֹשְׁבֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם אִ֚ישׁ בְּמִשְׁמָר֔וֹ וְאִ֖ישׁ נֶ֥גֶד בֵּיתֽוֹ׃
E ho detto loro: 'Non si aprano le porte di Gerusalemme finché il sole non sia caldo; e mentre stanno di guardia, lascia che chiudano le porte e ti sbarrano; e lascia che siano nominati gli orologi degli abitanti di Gerusalemme, ognuno sotto la sua guardia, e ciascuno che si accosti contro la sua casa.'

and they shall stand until And as long as the doors are open, they shall stand; they shall not move until the doors are locked shut, and whoever wishes to leave may leave the city, and whoever wishes to enter may come and enter. They did all this because of the enemies.
