Commento su Neemia 5:5

וְעַתָּ֗ה כִּבְשַׂ֤ר אַחֵ֙ינוּ֙ בְּשָׂרֵ֔נוּ כִּבְנֵיהֶ֖ם בָּנֵ֑ינוּ וְהִנֵּ֣ה אֲנַ֣חְנוּ כֹ֠בְשִׁים אֶת־בָּנֵ֨ינוּ וְאֶת־בְּנֹתֵ֜ינוּ לַעֲבָדִ֗ים וְיֵ֨שׁ מִבְּנֹתֵ֤ינוּ נִכְבָּשׁוֹת֙ וְאֵ֣ין לְאֵ֣ל יָדֵ֔נוּ וּשְׂדֹתֵ֥ינוּ וּכְרָמֵ֖ינוּ לַאֲחֵרִֽים׃

Eppure ora la nostra carne è come la carne dei nostri fratelli, i nostri figli come i loro figli; e, ecco, portiamo in schiavitù i nostri figli e le nostre figlie per essere servi, e alcune delle nostre figlie sono già in schiavitù; né è in nostro potere aiutarlo; per gli altri uomini abbiamo i nostri campi e i nostri vigneti.'
