כִּ֣י הִנֵּֽה־אָנֹכִי֩ מֵקִ֨ים רֹעֶ֜ה בָּאָ֗רֶץ הַנִּכְחָד֤וֹת לֹֽא־יִפְקֹד֙ הַנַּ֣עַר לֹֽא־יְבַקֵּ֔שׁ וְהַנִּשְׁבֶּ֖רֶת לֹ֣א יְרַפֵּ֑א הַנִּצָּבָה֙ לֹ֣א יְכַלְכֵּ֔ל וּבְשַׂ֤ר הַבְּרִיאָה֙ יֹאכַ֔ל וּפַרְסֵיהֶ֖ן יְפָרֵֽק׃ (ס)
Perché, ecco, farò crescere un pastore nel paese, che non penserà a quelli che sono stati tagliati, né cercherà quelli che sono giovani, né guarirà ciò che è rotto; né nutrirà ciò che sta fermo, ma mangerà la carne del grasso e spezzerà i loro zoccoli.'
